Product Overview
The Large Section C Purlin Roll Forming Machine produces deep C-section profiles from continuous steel coil. This automated production line integrates decoiling, leveling, feeding, roll forming, hydraulic punching, post-cutting, and finished-profile stacking.
Each machine line is custom-configured based on the profile drawing, steel thickness, yield strength, hole pattern, and output requirements to dictate tooling design, shaft size, drive capacity, and line speed.

Key Features
Reinforced Machine Frame: Heavy structural steel plate welding creates a rigid base that maintains alignment during continuous high-torque operations.
Heavy-Duty Solid Shafts: Oversized shaft diameters prevent flexure under load, ensuring consistent profile angles across the entire length.
High-Capacity Bearings: Industrial radial and thrust bearings handle high continuous forming loads.
Controlled Roll-Pass Design: Bending work is spread across a higher number of forming stations to minimize stress concentrations and prevent material distortion.
Entry & Alignment Guides: Adjustable entry rollers keep the incoming coil centered before it reaches the first forming station.
Key Structural Applications
Industrial Buildings & Factories: Secondary roof purlins and wall girts for wide-span industrial facilities.
Warehouses & Logistics Centers: Load-bearing roof and wall support structures requiring deep, heavy-gauge sections.
Commercial Steel Framing: Floor joists, roof trusses, and facade support members.
Agricultural Buildings: Durable roof framing systems for storage facilities and livestock housing.
Integrated Hydraulic Punching & Post-Cutting
Connection holes and mounting slots are produced inline to eliminate secondary manual drilling or punching steps.
Flexible Punching Units: Hydraulic punching heads can be configured for web holes, flange holes, end patterns, or project-specific hole groups.
Post-Cutting System: A high-rigidity hydraulic shear cuts profiles cleanly after forming and punching, maintaining profile cross-section geometry without distortion or burrs.
Closed-Loop Measurement: An inline rotary encoder measures material feed in real time, feeding length signals directly to the PLC for high-precision cutting tolerances.
Drive System & Automation Control
Drive capacity is matched to total forming resistance, profile depth, and required line speed.
Drive Transmission: Heavy-duty gearboxes and chain/gear drive systems transfer uniform torque across all active forming stations.
Automation Controls: Premium PLC and HMI systems (such as Siemens, Schneider, or Mitsubishi) manage operation modes, line speeds, batch counters, hole positioning, and fault diagnostics.
Operator Interface: Intuitive touch-screen interface allows real-time monitoring and adjustment of production batch parameters.
Multi-Size Profile Production Options
Dedicated Setup: Fixed-size tooling for dedicated, high-volume single-profile runs.
Manual/Spacers Setup: Fast manual changeover using precision spacers for low-to-medium size variation.
Motorized/PLC Automatic Changeover: Automated width and height adjustment systems that reduce changeover times from hours to minutes via recipe selection on the HMI.
Quality Assurance
Quality checks are performed through every stage of manufacturing and assembly to ensure operational performance prior to dispatch.
Incoming Component Audit: Verification of raw plate thickness, steel grades, bearing specs, and electrical components.
Machining & Shaft Alignment: Precision inspection of shaft concentricity, roll dimensions, and stand parallel alignment.
Factory Acceptance Trial: Full line testing using the customer's specified coil material and thickness.
Finished Profile Inspection: Dimensional validation covering web height, flange angles, lip geometry, hole positioning, straightness, cut quality, and surface condition.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What C purlin size ranges can be manufactured on this machine?
A: Profile ranges are built according to approved technical drawings. Web heights, flange widths, and lip dimensions are customized to your specific structural framing standards.
Q: What maximum steel thickness and yield strength can be processed?
A: Machines are custom-engineered for specific thickness ranges ( up to 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm, or thicker) and yield strengths up to G550/S550GD high-tensile structural steel.
Q: Is hydraulic punching integrated inline?
A: Yes. Pre-punching or post-punching stations can be integrated into the automated sequence to punch web, flange, or custom end-hole configurations controlled by the PLC.
Q: Can one production line produce multiple C purlin sizes?
A: Yes. Lines can be equipped with manual stepless adjusters or motorized PLC-controlled sizing systems for fast width/height changeovers.
